Starting With Why

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. (Confucius)

A square peg will sometimes fit in a round hole - if you apply enough pressure. Like squeezing yourself into something that doesn't quite fit - a job, a relationship, where you live... Sometimes this can seem a necessary solution - and it's only for a short time, right? When that temporary solution becomes the norm, however, the edges are hard to find again.

The edges are what makes you unique. No-one else has your blend of skills, passion, experiences and potential. This is what Mightify is all about - helping people to realise their true potential, and do the things they love. If you do something you love, pour your heart and soul into it, believe in what you're doing, the possibilities are endless (and you thought "Space Jam" was just a film about Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan...). This is why I've given up a safe, comfortable job at a multinational company to go out on my own and focus on Mightify - I want to help people achieve their goals, whatever shape and size those goals may come in.

A mantra I heard a lot during my police service was, "there's no room for independent thought on this unit". I'm still not sure how anyone thought that was a good philosophy, but that was the way of it and there wasn't much appetite for change. Looking around my colleagues, I knew that I wasn't the only square peg in that round hole, but there was certainly plenty of pressure - long hours, lack of sleep, antisocial shift patterns, dealing with traumatic scenes - so we adapted to the surroundings and went along with it. Imagine what we could have achieved by harnessing the power of each individual!

I know how it feels to be in a negative, hopeless situation - wishing you were somewhere else, happier, richer, valued, successful, whatever it is that drives you, whatever is missing. I know the effect it can have on your physical, mental and emotional health as well as those around you, because I've been there. I also know that it doesn't have to be like that forever.

If you're ready to take positive action, get in touch and find out what we can do to help. The first session is free - what have you got to lose? More importantly, what have you got to gain?
